St. FX will presumably use this all white kit with their classic blue helmets this Saturday when they open their AUS regular season against the Acadia Axemen. Obviously it's the athletes in said jersey that will be the most important story lines come Saturday, but a uniform reveal is always fun.
Look for fifth-year quarterback Silas Fagnan to try and air the ball out to a veteran receiving core that includes fourth-year Zachary Houde and fifth-year Ben Harrington.

Both Houde (662 receiving yards, three touchdowns) and Harrington (557 receiving yards, six touchdowns) went north of 550 the last time Fagnan won the AUS Most Outstanding Player award in 2023.
However, the pair took a step back in 2024 with 404 receiving yards, one touchdown, and 440 receiving yards, no touchdowns, respectively.
A bounce back season for these veterans, combined with the return of Devaughn Blackwood (346 receiving yards, two touchdowns in 2023) who was injured all of last season, and a probable increase of production from second year Caleb Tremblay (343 receiving yards, three touchdowns in 2024) and the X-Men could reap the benefits from a prolific aerial attack.
The straw that will stir the offensive drink however should be the run game. Caleb Fogarty managed to lead the AUS in rushing last season after he carried the ball 126 times for 781 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Combine that production with the return of Malcolm Bussey, who carried the ball 158 times for 1038 yards and 8 scores in 2023 and you end up with a pretty electric backfield.
Whether it’s by air or by ground, it seems like the Acadia defence will be put to the test on Saturday afternoon, especially since ST. FX is 6-1 against the Axemen since 2021.
Since 2021, St. FX has dominated Acadia with a 6–1 record, highlighted by wins of 13–7, 24–10, 46–11, 23–6, 42–9, and 46–0, with their only setback a narrow 24–22 loss.
The game will be played at Acadia in Wolfville, N.S. on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 2:00 pm ADT.
