The 2026 CFL Combine roster has been released, with 17 Canada West players earning invitations to this year’s event.

The players will all meet in Edmonton, Alberta on Friday, March 27th through to Sunday, March 29th where they’ll take part in combine testing, positional drills, and practice sessions. For the players, it is the most high stakes part of the pre-draft process. It is an opportunity to perform in front of CFL evaluators and increase their draft stock ahead of the this year's CFL draft—as well as subsequent UDFA (un-drafted free agent) and practice roster signings.

What the CFL Combine Is

The CFL Combine is a multi-day performance and scouting event hosted by the Canadian Football League. It is held annually each spring, with the host city rotating year to year.

It brings together top Canadian football prospects from across USPORTS, as well as Canadians competing in NCAA and NAIA programs in the United States. In recent years, the event has also expanded to include a small number of global participants, with athletes hailing from countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Australia, and American Samoa.

Over the course of the weekend, players are evaluated through standardized testing—such as the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, and agility drills—along with position specific work and one-on-one reps. For CFL coaches and managers, it’s a controlled environment to compare prospects side by side. For players, it’s a chance to confirm to scouts what shows up on film—or change the conversation around their abilities. entirely.

This 2026 combine group arrives in Edmonton with individually strong résumés from their collegiate careers, but the combine is rarely been about what’s already been done. Over three days, performances will either reinforce those credentials—or force a re-evaluation in their predicted post-collegiate careers. For Canada West’s 17 representatives, it’s an opportunity to make that shift happen in real time.

The 2026 CFL Combine (hosted by Anytime Fitness) will take place between Friday, March 27th to Sunday, March 29th in Edmonton, AB at Commonwealth Fieldhouse and University of Alberta's Foote Field.
